I had our local gem business owner appraise this ring and he said it was worth around $100. That's what he would sell it for. I've seen this exact one for $223 on another website. He said that a Moissanite diamond is brighter than a real diamond and will probably devalue real diamonds in the future due to the brightness appeal of the Moissanite diamond.
Wikipedia says: Moissanite is naturally occurring silicon carbide and its various crystalline polymorphs. It has the chemical formula SiC and is a rare mineral, discovered by the French chemist Henri Moissan in 1893.
